The World of NGOs was founded in 1997 to promote information and networking of civil society organisations in Austria. Activities focus on topics and challenges in the European context like integration issues, civil dialogue, gender equality and citizens’ participation in policy shaping, as well as building bridges between European countries, with a special focus on Eastern Europe.
On the national level, The World of NGOs is an active adviser to public authorities in the field of civic education, European partnerships and volunteering.
